The best summary for the Selig proposal is that it is an ordinary design for an extraordinary opportunity.

It fails to take advantage of the uniqueness of Athens, its existing context, infrastructure and appeal. Instead, it is a design that could physically ‘fit’ and aesthetically ‘fit in’ anywhere.
